Meet Christine

Christine Tan spent her school holidays volunteering with her family in different capacities, from preparing free meals for the underprivileged at Willing Hearts to doing a charity trishaw ride with Cycling Without Age.

Positive Living Community

Positive Living Community was established in 1997 in Malaysia to offer shelter and care for homeless persons living with AIDs. Today, it runs four shelters for about 70 residents, a drug rehabilitation programme, and various projects to generate income, such as tea cultivation and farming.

Artsolute

Artsolute is an artist-run social enterprise in Singapore that offers programmes to help vulnerable persons express themselves and improve their quality of life. Its programmes include workshops, events and performances.

Breast Cancer Foundation

Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organisation set up in 1997 to raise awareness about breast cancer and support survivors and their families. It also advocates early screening for the disease; on average, it funds mammograms for 8,000 low-income women annually.

Pawsibility

Pawsibility is a pioneer in Animal Assisted Therapy in Singapore and has been running services since 2013 with schools, social services agencies and other voluntary welfare organisations. Its programmes span counselling to talks and coaching workshops.

Rare Diseases Society (Singapore)

Established in 2011, the Rare Diseases Society (Singapore) hopes to create awareness about various life threatening rare diseases. This non-profit organisation is the only of its kind in Singapore - creating a support-group for all patients with diagnosed and non-diagnosed rare diseases.
