A Singaporean audiologist’s perspective on early rehabilitation for hearing impairment:

About Cochlea Pune

Cochlea Pune for Hearing and Speech is an India NGO dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for children with hearing impairment. Its team of ENT specialists; audiologists; speech therapists; special educators and psychologists work closely with parents to address the children’s unique needs. Mothers, as primary caregivers, play a crucial role in this process — and are thereby welcome to room at its boarding facilities. Through a combination of counselling, early detection and intervention using cochlear implants and hearing aids, Cochlea Pune guides children and their families on their journey of early rehabilitation, with the goal of enabling their successful transition into mainstream schools.
